Going on a trip by train and you can pick up some or all from the below list to take with you;

03-A hunter's knife
04-The picture of your girl/boy friend
05-A map

06-Soap, shampoo and other cleaning (hygienic) agents

08-Match box / lighter
09-Flash light
10-Canned food
11-Telephone book
12-First Aids Kit
13-Your guitar
14-Credit card
15-Addresses of some friends at the destination or on the way
16-MP3 player
17-Your ID card
18-Lap top
19-Your camera
20-Note book and a pen

A guitar is all you need.

1. If you can play it, you will be able to get most of the other stuff on the list other than 4 and 15 and as for these two items, you will not need them since you will likely get another girl/boy friend and many new addresses.

2. Even if you don't play the guitar, someone else on the train will and so you still will get the other stuff, including new friends and addresses.

3. As for the ID card, your new friends will vouch for you.

ID Card, Notebook & Pen, Laptop (if I had one, w headphones). In reality though, where I was going would dictate what I was taking, I mean, I wouldn't take a laptop if I was going into the forest to camp, and I wouldn't take camping gear if I was going into a city, unless I knew I wouldn't be able to afford accomodations. Regardless, ID, Notebook & Pen, are standard equipment.
